OK, say you're helping the Dem nominee prepare to debate Bush...
What line do you hand the Dem nominee, whomever it might be, that will set Bush off and make him look like an ill-mannered twit to vast millions of viewers?
Something that will cost him more than the "Poland" comment hurt Gerald Ford in his debate with Jimmy Carter. Something that will bring out Shrub's rage and lunacy.
Remember: You don't want to appear to be badgering Bush or it could backfire. You musn't be snotty. (And you must be serious, please: No "Why are you such an ignorant fuckhead?" though that would be a lot of momentary fun.)
Something on the order of "So you got the people of Texas to back construction of a stadium for the Rangers, got a sweetheart deal that left the stadium in the hands of the team even though the vast majority of the funds came from the public, and you personally walked away a millionaire?"
But stronger than that. Something that will send Bush through the roof and cost him the election...

5. How do you explain the disparity
between you getting a month's vacation each year, and regular working stiffs getting their overtime pay eliminated?

9. That could nail him to the wall
I would like to see him weasel out of that question. He will, of course. Some bullshit about national security.

3. Was it fun playing soldier this year? More than on your tour of duty?
How fast were you flying when getting out of harm's way on Sept 11 and jus how fabulous was 2001 for you and Laura?
When you were saying: F* Saddam, I'm taking him down, what part of this needed congress, UN approval?

4. Personable, Persistent, Decisive
Edited on Fri Sep-05-03 06:10 PM by LoneStarLiberal
Remember what happened back in 2000, as your post indicates whomever wins should. Badgering him or belittling him for being a chucklehead will only flip the "poor litte dumb kid" switch in the hearts and minds of those "Murrikans" we need to see the light instead of feeling pity for the poor little dumb kid.

The candidate should be personable, persistent, and decisive. I think Dean, Kerry, Edwards, Braun, Kucinich, and Clark (should he run) could all pull this off successfully.

8. Military Service?
Edited on Fri Sep-05-03 06:31 PM by ThomWV
I think I might ask him how he could feel comfortable in his role as Commander In Chief considering his own military record. Afterall if you were AWOL for about 1/5th of your entire enlistment and found unfit for service because you refused to take a drug test (remember, he was not actually a pilot in any working, the crack-pipe-warrier was grounded for most of his military career).

I suspect being reminded of those good old coke-snortin' AWOL cavortin' days might set junior off.

11. Why does this administration name their initiatives the opposite
of what they actually do? "Clear Skies". "Leave No Child Behind". "Healthy Forests".

Are you averse to telling the truth, or are you just psychotic?

17. This was posted by Ilsa on another thread recently
it was so good i book marked it:

is Bush* the anti-christ?

I ask myself that question almost daily, when I hear about some absurd revisionist explanation of why everything they do has to work backwards like Seinfeld in Bizarro World:

We have to cut down the forests to save them.
We have to bomb the Iraqis to protect them.
We have to restrict American freedom so we can protect liberty.
We have to protect the overseas outsourcing of jobs to create new jobs.
We have to save money on the war by privatizing and providing a profit.
I can't even lucidly convey the concept of how there were no Al Queda terrorists in Iraq until well after the US occupation of Iraq.

My head is spinning.

13. 28 redacked pages
I would remind everyone of shrubs own words (that I don't remember and am paraphrasing here) "Any nation that harbors and helps a terra-ist is a terra-ist," and then ask about the 28 pages missing from the 9-11 report and why he is harboring the Saudis and bin ladens who really helped the terra-ists and by the way, also bailed you out of arbusto.

14. "George Bush is the little boy who cried wolf"
Repeat three times, and then say that the next time some nasty threat comes down the line, we need a new president, a man who can be believed when he looks you in the eye and tells you what's going on.

18. Just hit him with his own quotes
Attacking him will only be spun by the right-wing media. The best approach would be to challenge him by his own record and how it contradicts what he claimed in the 2000 debates. Show how what he does never matches what he says.
