1. There is real rage out there |

...especially among the moderate right, who voted for a moderate candidate who would cut their taxes.
They've found themselves with a hard-right religious nutcase who cut taxes only on the wealthy, squandered the surplus, bungled the larger economy, and got us into a couple of ill-considered and extremely expensive wars that it may take decades to get out of, all while alienating countries who had been our allies for a very long time.
Bush is in trouble. We'll have to wait and see just how corrupt the electoral process has become.

I very much agree that pResident Bush is a nutcase. However, I find it hard to believe that his religious posture is sincere. The corporate right, in my opinion, has hijacked the Christian Conservative mentality because most Chrisitans are basically good people who believe the best of someone UNTIL they're proven wrong. They're currently being proven wrong in a BIG way.
While they (the religious base) will never be out front with severe criticism of the administration, I feel that they can tell they've been had and they will attempt to correct their mistake in voting for Bush.
Christians are often villified and mocked, but just because someone is a Christian doesn't mean you can take their good will for granted. I see many good Christian Republicans who are seriously worried about the direction of our country. Bush is seen as a problem, and hypocrisy is a serious sin.
I think you will be surprised at the disatisfaction with Bush among Christians. I don't believe he can repair the damage. The Dem must be strong on defense, be willing to do whatever is necessary for national security, and get people's jobs back. The economy is really hurting Bush, and military families appear to feel sold out.
The American People will not stand for a RULER. I don't care what political party to which one belongs. NO ONE WANTS TO BE RULED.
