Any pyrotechnics experts here?

A way to really get the message across at the inaugural and still be miles away from the scene is to organise a pyrotechnics demonstration at the time of the swearing in. A group of pyrotechnics experts can do this and it can be done remarkably cheaply!!

Also floating banners can fill the sky. They will have to spend a whale of a time controlling that if it is organised properly.

Also consider this:

TECHNICAL BREAKTHROUGH:
WE CAN PROJECT YOUR LOGO AND WRITTEN MESSAGES, PLUS ANIMATED IMAGES IN FULL COLOR ONTO CLOUDS,BILLBOARDS,WALLS,BULDINGS-ON ANY SURFACE
THE ADVANTAGES OF LASER SKYWRITING ARE HIGH LUMINESCENCE,LONG PROJECTION DISTANCES,NO CUMBERSOME WIRES,BULBS OR MAINTENANCE AND MESSAGES CAN BE CHANGED INSTANTANEOUSLY
IT'S THE NEXT STEP IN FUTURISTIC ADVERTISING.

There are literally hundreds of novel ideas to protest the inauguration without confrontation.

Is anyone co-ordinating these ideas?

1. I can't imagine it would be allowed
It's hard to get firework permits in general, let along as part of a demonstration in the nation's capital during a time when concerns of terrorism run high. Though I don't know the regulations, I'd be very surprised if the police would allow it.

3. My word, you certainly live in a free country!!
Sarcasm off.

Did the Republicans steal the election by playing fair?

If you want to act and win - level the playing field to their level not yours!!

5. fireworks are very dangerous actually
Lots of people are killed every year at 4th of July. Some states don't allow any personal fireworks at all. Big displays are set off by licensed professionals and usually over a body of water to avoid fires.
I have a long list of complaints with the Bush administration, but I don't object to local ordinances controlling fireworks.

7. In my 60 years

in third world and first world countries I have never seen an accident with fireworks which were handled properly.

In India, on the festival of lights, Deepavali, every family, of all relgions, takes part in a fireworks show in their own backyard. No permits are necessary and proper parental supervision ensures that no serious accidents occur.

Bad supervision and lack of knowledge about how to manage fireworks would certainly be a problem!!

Imagine Deepavali for a billion peple without fireworks or having to get police permission to have a fireworks show in your backyard!!

In Finland, on New Year's Eve we have fireworks in all the communities and no police permission is required. It is required if you want to stock a large volume of fireworks or if you want a license to stock and sell fireworks in a public place!!

Either in America you do not have the basic education, from childhood, as to how to handle fireworks or.....

4. No kidding.
There's an old hippie cliche that the person in the group to first suggest violence (or similar) is the one most likely to be a narc. Your mileage may vary.

6. My feelings exactly... wouldn't it be grand to just get a long thread
started about this very subject only to see several names disappear in here in the next week or two??

Then you "might" even be able to label the underground a "terrorist" organization. Wouldn't that be just peachy? Imagine all the truth that would stop flowing... how cool would that be? Agent Mike, you listening agent Mike??
