Did anyone see the Rush Limbaugh thing on SNL last night? |
|
I guess part of a cartoon featured on the show depicted him having an overdose. Did anyone see this? Was it pretty over the top or what? I think much will be made of this by RWers in the next few days.

3. It was a fantastic skit. |
|
Rudolph and the reindeer are flying over the red states, and Santa says he isn't going to stop there because those idiots voted for Bush (he calls it dumbf***istan...quite hysterical). So instead, he goes to this bar in New York and hangs out with Margeret Cho, Moby, Al Franken, and I forget who else. Meanwhile, this red state brother and sister are waiting for Santa, and the boy says he isn't coming, because Drudge Report says so (you see a computer screen with Drudge on, and it says "Blue Christmas?" with a pic of santa beneath). Then we flash to Rush Limbaugh getting all excited because he gets to be Santa Claus. He puts on this red suit and gets in this sleigh and starts flying around, and suddenly he falls to the ground, and wakes up lying by the toilet in nothing but his underwear, surrounded by empty pill bottles, with a disgruntled maid in the background. Santa heads back out (Al & Co go with him) and goes to this blue state little girl's house, and gives her her gifts for not being a stupid hick republican. She starts crying and talks about how they're being judgemental. Margarette Cho says that red state people are bigots. The little girl continues to cry and says they're the bigots and that labeling people is wrong. Then Santa says she's right, and stamps her forehead with a label that says "Nice." Then he goes and gives the red state kids their gifts: a Margaret Cho CD and an O'Franken Factor CD.
It was much funnier if you watched it.
Did I spell Margaret Cho's name three different ways? Oh well.

6. Yeah, it was really well done, with some subtle stuff to it. |
|
And at the end they broke into a song that stated the moral, which I won't even try to recapture, because I wouldn't do it justice.
I really think last night's SNL was a vast improvement over their recent efforts, and it wasn't just because they bashed a lot of Repuke bootay.

7. It was great, and Drudge was just lying about it. |

He said SNL showed Rush OD ed, which it didn't, it just showed him zonked, and passed out. Drudge also said SNL never did this to Robert Downey Junior, but SNL did. They had a skit with Anne Hecht, Margaux Kidder, and Robert Downey Junior, all whacked out, and engaged in bizarre behavior. What a liar Drudge is!

:nopity: :nopity: :nopity:
Poor, poor Rush, who never had a nasty thing to say about anybody, being defended by the Prince of Puke.

15. It Was on TV FunHouse, Not SNL |
|
It was done by Robert Smigel, though. It was called "Downey, Kidder and Heche" and featured them as trespassing private investigators, going where others couldn't due to needing search warrants, and they relied upon their god-given trespassing skills.

16. Or Jenna Bush's accident w/Captain Morgan in the weekend update segment? |
|
Dipping on the dance floor & hitting her head because of her 'friend' named Captain Morgan & then they showed a shot of a bottle of rum labeled Captain Morgan - priceless! That oughta fire them up till next Saturday, at least!
