My Weekly Liberal Talk Show Top 20 RATINGS
THIS IS PURELY MY PERSONAL OPINION!!

Week 51

1. Mike Malloy (His candour, fervour, knowledge puts him in the top spot UNDISPUTEDLY.)
2- Thom Hartmann (Great for a historical approach.)
3. Laura Flanders (Saturday night was the first time I listened to Laura and she was great in getting the best out of her guests.)
4. Mark Levine (Cllint Curtis interview raised him to this high spot.)
5. Peter Werbe (Steady and great host who at most times mentions me, Jacob from Oulu, Finland!!)
6. Randi Rhodes (Slipping badly as she is getting out of touch or hung up on specific issues.)
7. Guy James (Always his usual great self - will probably move ahead of Randy, except his new timing is going to mar my live listening to him. Clash of time with Laura Flanders after 8th January.)
8. Mike Webb (Clash of time with Bernie Ward, - challenging coverage of the Washington Governor race.)
9. Bernie Ward (Always great to listen to, but sadly internet listening has huge void spaces.)
10. Ray Taliaferro (Same comment about Bernie - aggressive and great host - John Rothmann has been covering for Ray recently.)
11. Tony Trupiano (Always a great listen.)
12. Nate Clay (Really educated host.)
13. John Rothmann (many subjects are not internationally interesting.)
14. Unfiltered (Too much self-indulging laughing at each other.)
16. Morning Sedition (Irritating laughter, or rather cackle, spoils the show.)
17. Majority Report (Janeane has been away, so less shouting than usual - quality of show raised considerably by presence of blogger Atrios.)
18. Alex Bennett. (Appears to be a good host, could climb during coming weeks.
19. Al Franken (Virtually at the bottom of ratings, even though Al Franken was not in town and Joe Conason raised the quality of the show considerably!!)
20. The Young Turks - (Remains at the bottom as it is has irritating know-it-all hosts show.)

Please give me links to other Liberal talk shows on the internet to add to my review list. I am studying Alex Bennett and a few others, but have not heard enough to make up my mind about whether they are really liberal talk shows.

My special thanks to benburch (whiterosesociety.org) for the archives, in case I miss one of the shows, and and Shelby LaPre (radiopower.org) for some of the live streaming!! My thanks to Apple Computer for producing the great Apple Mac computer and iTunes, which makes internet listening really easy.

3. A good link is
Gloria DUer Gloria's http://www.zianet.com/insightanalytical/radio.htm

Another reason to put Malloy at the top of the list is his incredible voice artistry. He not only expresses his (my) views passionately, he captures the essential nature of the "other" is his reading of their words and voice-overs.

Another reason is the brilliant work done by Kathy in pulling together the audio within the show and the music used in transitions.

Apart from their very deep political/moral perspective on what is happening, they are incredibly talented. Mike Malloy can make me laugh and cry, feel anger and sorrow, all at the same time, just by telling it as it is.
