Who said this quote of the day?
Last night when I posted I got nothing but correct responses, so I figure since it is an interesting quote I'll post it again.

"Today Christians stand at the head of the nation... I pledge that I never will tie myself to parties who want to destroy Christianity. We want to fill our culture again with the Christian Spirit. We want to burn out all the recent immoral developements in literature, in the theatre, and in the press- in short, we want to burn out the poison of immorality which has entered into our whole life and culture as a result of liberal excess during the past few years."

It's a good one and if you know the answer you could end a lot of arguments. So DUers who said this?

After ten people have offered up guesses, I'll give you the answer.

7. I recognized it within 6 words.
Ein Reich, Ein Volk, Ein Fuhrer.

Hitler said this, no matter how many newcomers try to be like him.

10. Interestingly enough, Hitler was anti-Christian
In Mein Kampf he laid out his plans to replace all religions with his own. He wanted to eradicate Christianity but not with a Holocaust- he waged a propaganda campaign to discredit the clergy and he had a lot of Christian clergy "eliminated".

12. I know
I'm aware of that quote. He wanted to abolish Christianity but, unlike the Jews, Christians were the majority so he had to go about it carefully. So yeah, he lied (I was SHOCKED, SHOCKED I say) about protecting Christian values.
