Happy Solstice and happy solar new year.
Today, December 21 at 12:42 GMT is the winter solstice. It is the
darkest day of the year, the end of the Real year, if we used the sun
instead of calendars from rome. This is the day of the hidden, when
the world celibrates darkness and the unmanifest, the official start
of the winter.

Born on the solar new year, is 2005, and all of the happenings that
will unfold in this coming year, are just about to be born. In a
whispered prayer, may this new year be an enlightenment for us all.

Happy winter solstice.

3. I shall now boycott your posts.
Happy Solstice? I guess you haven't heard. Any other greeting than 'Merry Christmas' deserves to get you shipped to Gitmo.

4. I always look forward to the Winter Solstice.............
that means the sun, after today, will begin it's trek back into the northern hemisphere. Longer periods of sunshine, day by day, wresting old man winter's icy grip from our land. Quite minuscule at first to be sure, but still unstoppable until the summer solstice.
Truly a day to celebrate.

Thank you for illuminating the true "reason for the season," the one that has been around since the beginning of time.

Into the light!

And yes, party. ;-)

13. And not a moment too soon!
I find the dark days of December seriously depressing, and it's always delightful to notice the first time the sky is not completely dark at 6PM.

15. We can only hope
With Bush in the White House and the Talibornagains slowly taking over public institutions, it seems our country is shrouded in darkness. The Shadow is covering the land.
