Help Vets call home for Christmas/Kwanzaa or "just for the hell of it."

Before Thanksgiving, I ran a campaign to help wounded Veterans at Walter Reed hospital outside DC get phone cards to call home. It turns out that the armed forces do not provide a way for these soldiers to call home (see this DailyKos article). I received an email from someone who wants to do this again for Christmas with the help of Liz at the Rapid Response Network.

The cards run about 2.9 cents a minute at Costco (big Dem supporter, see BuyBlue.org). Let's try to raise 50,000 minutes this time

1. Update: They have TOO MANY PHONE CARDS

Walter Reed put out a press release in the past few days...they were overwhelmed with cards, and have too many. Folks do want snacks, treats, and such....so other things, or a gift to the Red Cross, will be very appreciated.
