Anyone get the feeling that the stock market climb is phony? |
|
Since most investors are investing abroad and China is making some interesting advances with its economy, I believe the US stock market hike is phony and has been manipulated to get people to keep investing in it. I think I would pull my money out (if I had any in) right about now.

1. Yeah -- I have some stock; most of my money is elsewhere |

I'm still on pins and needles every day -- should I stay or should I go?

2. Yep, there is a bubble being pumped up again |

And sad to say, it will be dumped pretty soon. The numbers coming in cannot sustain this illogical exuberance for long. Housing numbers down, unemployment up, a flat or worse Christmas season, PE ratios still too high, all of these numbers and more are pointing to a bottoming out of the market soon. I would say after the first of the year, we'll see a steady drop in the Dow. If the Iraq elections screw the pooch, look for a big drop off.
The stock market is turning into a crap shoot, get out while you're still ahead.

http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=^TNX&d=1b The bond market has something different to say. It is forecasting a less than stellar economy due to an anemic job market.

Ya, ya, that's the ticket. The economy is good, I mean, great.

Annuities took a 37 percent drop shortly after Junior took over. It still has not recovered to the point that Clinton left it.
But I suppose if one is skilled in the ways of investing there is money to be made. One can also make a lot of money playing poker.
