2. actually my long shot guess is |
|
announce that air force is 'at this moment conducting a raid' on the air base in Saudi A. that we have just evacuated (at Usama's request) due to we don't want anyone else using it... so we are wiping it off the face of the desert so no one else gets use of it.
Its a long shot I know, but there were those reports that Prince Abdullah and Chessboy Putey Poot Putin were talking about a new tenant for it this week.

Of course, it is so obvious, but then again I am in a very cynical mood now... to be honest I do not care what he has to say, since he has been lying from day one... somethign about the boy who cried wolf and I do not expect him to be honest and tell us... well folks it is a mess and it is going to cost us x ammount of Billions (and be close to the truth), and yes sorry I lied...
So I expect a new and creative lie to help him shore up those fallng Poll numbers...
Hey for a Resident who does not live or die by the polls (chortle) this is quite amusing... I think, if it wasn't so tragic.

7. None of the above -- On reinstating the DRAFT (my biggest fear) |
|
Edited on Sat Sep-06-03 01:56 AM by Melinda
Will call on the "Irrelevant" and "Old Europe" to join the "coalition" saying the USA stepped up and removed the evil dewar and now its time for the rest of the world to show its compassion and empathy by supporting the righteous US actions to bring the Iraqi's democratic autonomy and "freedom".
And if they don't capitulate to his terms, then the idiot in our WH will threaten to implement an American draft.
The message will not only be to the American people, it will be to the entire world - "yer either with us, or yer agin us".

8. He's going to try to justify why we're going to have to ... |
|
... ante up around $70 billion for reconstruction in Iraq. No, he won't tell us how the Iraqis can fix a bridge for $300,000 while KBR can do it for the low low price of $50 million. He is going to say that all the money is for Iraq so we can do a better job of fighting the war on terror. Sandwiched around references to the money he's going to be begging for will be the usual jingoistic platitudes, references to 9/11 and the need for freedom to triumph over evil and bad Muslims, etc. This kind of language is necessary so that the NASCAR dads will know we are pursuing a noble goal; so they can agree and cheer and egg the idiot on to greater accomplishments, more wars and a grand empire all of which they will have forgotten by the next morning when they've slept off their buzz.

is what he'll "ask". Really, he'll just take it anyway in true fascist form. I'll be watching for not-so-subtle mentions of any topic he thinks will get him more campaign contributions.
Things I'd like to see happen on Sunday night:
Teleprompter malfunctions. He sets a new mumbling record. He resigns. He thinks camera is off and pours a drink. Has his coat on backwards again. Stumbles over some really simple thing like his own name. Announces another fake terror alert and gets color wrong. Sets a new smirking record. Tells the truth (now I'm dreaming, time to go to bed).

11. It will be a combination, so I can't vote on one |
|
Edited on Sat Sep-06-03 02:11 AM by Booberdawg
We already know it's about Iraq - probably about the U.N. involvement and some face saving measures since they have had to conceed that rumsfilled was a total fuckup in postwar planning and they have all been flying by their dicks instead of their brains. He's say something that the dittoheads will love but will make us wanna puke.
While he has everyone's attention he will blow some smoke up our asses about the economy he has so thoroughly ruined. Now that some of the unemployed are so completely fucked that they don't even qualify for unemployment anymore he can pretend they don't count anymore and suggest to the ignorant masses that things are actually improving.
I think the Martial Law thing is absurd. For the U.S.??? So is the Cheney retirement - he's the one running this show. Cuba next on the hit list is also absurd.
I'm gonna say no on the Estrada thing just on a hunch that this is going to stick to foreign policy. Possibly a North Korea mention, and just on a wild, wild hunch because of something else I'm following I'm going to go out on a limb and say something about China might be mentioned. If it is I might pee my pants though.
on edit: of course he has to justify his request for another 70 billion and keeping the troops in Iraq for longer than Rumsfilled's dick predicted so he'll administer the Vaseline to the American people for that butt fuck.

"we did such a good thing liberating those Iraqis. At least 3 of them are getting at least 20 minutes of electricity a day" followed "And we showed the terra-ists that we will hunt them down wherever they hide". Fill in the blank spots with "God", and you pretty much have it.

13. I think it will be to try to explain what the |

hell is going on in Iraq and how it will take much longer, more lives and, of course, more money. Or it could just be a diversion to keep people from watching the Showtime film because he knows that it's bullshit, and he knows that we know it's bullshit. He just doesn't want to have Scotty spend all his time at every press briefing next week having to answer too many embarrassing questions.

14. Happy talk about Iraq and the UN |
|
The key part will be to claim that getting the UN back in was part of a cunning, long range, plan to fight Terra. Oh, zero mentions of Saddam Who?ssein and Osama bin Forgotten by name. And nothing about the oil and gasoline price spike. But probably some pushing of his blank check Enron Energy Policy. And maybe an announcement of his team's success (aka caving in) with North Korea.
The real point is to slow or try to stop his right wing base from deserting him en masse. He's not going to waste his breath on trying to convince people with an actual clue- he never has. For us, the point is to see whether he's drunk (again) and the spectator sport of watching his gaffes under pressure. Will he fall off the podium or gag on his glass of "water", spewing Absolut Citron onto some poor Fox talking head? Which heads of state will he insult next? Is he doing the Buddies In Crime act with Putin again? Does he really resemble Grampa Hill on "King of the Hill"? What would his name be if he had to play a cousin to the Clampitts on BHH? If he did his speeches in rap, would the quality go up or go down, and how many philosophers would you need to kill to reach consensus on that point? Would rap artists then gun him down to save the artform?
Just remember, this is a political Dead Man Talking. Mr. 43% And Falling. Mr. By December I Will Be In Political Deathspiral.

|
not listed as a choice. The usual "making progress"..."need more money and time"....."terraists"......"9/11"......."Saddam"......."economy looking great for the future"........nothing but pure spin. I don't see any blockbuster announcements, just the same old tired bullshit. Tommorow the good puppy press will fawn all over him, how "Churchillian" he was, what a "vision for the future" he has, blah, blah, blah.

19. I think North Korea... |
|
I have a hunch it will be North Korea. if not on Sunday, soon.
North Korea is threatening a nuke test on September 9th and Dubya might think (what a concept!) he's smart and bomb the Yong`byon reactor.
Of course, if he screws up, we could be talking about the potential use of nuclear weapons in anger. the first since 1945... :scared:
