He may think he's showing "the common touch" by walking around like that (even as he orders his staff to wear "proper business attire" all the time) -- but there are plenty of people not making much money who take the trouble to dress neatly. Al Gore, Jimmy Carter, and Bill Clinton feel it's disrespectful for a public official to be sloppy when meeting constituents, or representing them in front of dignitaries or the press.
