Faux is using homicide bomber... |
|
isn't that a bit redundant? Bomb=murder...I mean really, anyone volunteer to be killed by the latest bombing in Iraq?. Suicide bomber seems to be more accurate of a term since the person transporting the bomb dies too. I guess Bush's use of "suiciders" didn't catch on.

2. If you threw a molotov cocktail and ran..... |

and killed people but you survived, wouldn't you be a "homicide bomber"? This FOX/Bush term is totally fringe and inaccurate!

you just gotta laugh to keep from crying over the way the Bush News Network spins the news......I don't understand their rationale for calling suicide bomber a homicide bomber....bombs intentially set off amongst groups of people are ALWAYS for the purpose of killing (homicide) .... but all bombs set off aren't done with the express intention of taking the perpetrators life. This is about as ridiculous as their campaign over the "christ" being taken out of christmas....just more noise to distract people from the important issues.....people will muse over this stuff rather than wonder why the hell such a large group of military folks were permitted to gather and sit in one location when they knew it was a vulnerable target. Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!
Homicide Bomb Likely in Mosul Attack Fox News Wednesday, December 22, 2004
WASHINGTON — A homicide bomber probably caused the blast that killed 22 people, including 14 American soldiers, at a American base in Mosul Tuesday, a preliminary investigative report has found.

6. I think they somehow think people may have more sympathy for |
|
a suicide bomber; or the reverse, that a homicide bomber sounds more malevolent.
It's stupid either way. And using "homicide bomber" makes it lose all its meaning. Dropping a bomb from an F-15 is homicide, too, because your intention is to kill people; doesn't matter if you believe you're justified in dropping the bomb.

9. Pox News, as we know, is merely the propaganda arm |
|
of the Bush Reich. They started using the term "homicide bombers" awhile ago because supposedly they didn't want to "glorify" terrorists through their suicide. But the term is both (1) an example of twisting language for ideological purposes, and (2) really, really stupid. All bombings are intended to result in homicide; that's why they do them. Using the term "suicide bomber" identifies the unique method by which the bombing was carried out, and certainly does not glorify the perp. Sometimes Pox's propagandizing is so obvious, and so idiotic, that it's amazing they can say stuff with a straight face.

10. Amen! I've been saying the same thing since I first heard the term! |
|
It's like broadcasting that "a murdering murderer, murdered somebody today."
Seems that this administration and their lapdogs at Foxnews deemed the term "suicide bomber," too dignifying to describe those nutjobs (attaboy Fox! that'll show them "ragheads..." :eyes: ).
Foxnews is the WWF of cable news, and sadly, I don't think they're one bit ashamed of that status.
