70% of Americans: Saddam involved in 9/11 !!!!!!!
The Washington Post shows that the large majority of Americans still believe that Saddam Hussein was involved in 9/11!!! Big surprise...when every single time Iraq had been mentioned, the word "terrorist" follows.

The press is responsible for allowing this to happen and continue. They refuse to challenge Rummy or Dummy when they speak. They have never refuted these claims, despite every bit of intelligence that has shown it to be groundless. That's why we're in Iraq, and why Bush will get credit for saving us from harm by killing 37,000 Iraq civilians.

2. How difficult would it be for them...?
to add at the end of the poll that there has been no evidence shown to believe that Saddam had anything to do with 9/11. It is revisionist history at its finest.

8. What a great website!
Great action strategies, flyers, information, etc. The website is hard to navigate, but it's worth a good looking over.

Thanks!

5. Pathetic
It shows why so many people are susceptible to Bush's lies. Ignorance is deadly in a democracy.

18. I don't either.
I can't seem to find any of these people. I ran into a few before the war but it was pretty easy to clear things up for them. It's been months since I cam across anyone that uninformed. I think they keep floating these just so they can mention Saddam and Osama in the same sentence.

Common sense, understanding Islamist mentality, and the ability to play a child's game-connect the dots = Saddam's link to 9-11.

Reply 7 - Posted by: grey gent, 9/6/2003 6:02:42 AM

Laurie Mylroie's book on the 1993 WTC bombing, published before 9-11, clearly identifies Iraq as the perpertrator, and details the efforts of the Clinton administration to deny that it was a state sponsored act and treated it as a criminal act by a loose band of terrorists.

Now that at least 70% acknowledge Sadaam's insidious role in 9/11 and Terrorism in General, I hope we begin to wake up and realize that EVERY MOSQUE in this country and abroad also had a role that light should be shed upon...I was willing to give the "Peaceful Religion" the benefit of the doubt, but considering their lack of cooperation, their lack of real condemnation of terrorism, and their lack of leadership in the War against their Radicals, leads me to one conclusion....aim several tactical Nukes at Mecca, and give a deadline for Islamic Cooperation....

My, my. Temper tantrums are quite evident this morning. Knowing that 70% of the US population gets the threat all despots and fanatics pose to us, the lefties are having a hissy fit and cannot stand it. Love it, love it. God bless you, GWB, for the trust you have engendered in the majority of decent Americans.

Also, check out jaynadavis.com and read of Iraqi complicity in the Oklahoma City bombing.

Regarding the Oklahoma bombing -- I always said the "John Doe" sketch looked Arab. Timothy was a dupe that got sucked in.

#36 - yes...he was a dupe who rightly deserved to die...but wasn't his death the fastest one in recent memory? They made sure they killed McVie before Clinton left office.

Only 70% believe saddam/9/11 link. How sad. What percentage believed klintoon did not have oral sex with that woman?, and that oral sex is not sex??? Todays hometown headlines, 17 yr. old charged w/rape, allegedly had the girl perform oral sex on him, also engaged in oral sex with 3 other girls ranging in age 9 to 13, & could be sentenced to 10 years in Prison. What does klintoon and saddam have in common, they both lied, concealed the truth. If saddam is alive, they both should be in Prison for their atrocities on innocent people.

Reply 41 - Posted by: Rumblehog, 9/6/2003 11:32:47 AM

It was a "contract killing". Osama provided the muscle, Saddam provided the backing.

Iran and Iraq fought a 10 year war.
Iran supports Hezbollah.
Hezbollah works in the Beka'a Valley under the protection of a Ba'athist Sunni regime that slaughtered religious fundamentalists on a grand scale in the 1980s.
Iran negotiates overflight rights with Iraq for planes bound from Tehran to Beirut.
Saddam paid the families of suicide bombers from Islamic Jihad for operations against Israel
Pakistan, secular regime, assisted the Taliban, fundamentalists.
The list goes on and on. The statement that Osama hated Saddam may be true, we don't know, we only know what Osama has allegedly said. Be that as it may, to take that statement as some kind of proof that Iraq and al-Qaeda didn't cooperate is just sheer lunacy.

The US and USSR, mortal enemies prior to WW II, cooperated extensively between 1942 and 1945.

The breathtaking ignorance that it takes to assert al-Qaeda and Iraq did not work together is just beyond my imagination.

10. It is a failure of the media when so many believe such a lie...
We loan our airwaves to them to disseminate information and they can't even get one little fact out to the public that it has not been proven that Saddam had anything to do with 9/11 or there is no evidence to suggest it...
