MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (AP) — A white supremacist who broke into the home of a black couple and beat them with a baseball bat has been sentenced to 14 years in prison.

Brian Nielson, 27, of Pemberton Township, was convicted in October of aggravated assault, burglary and weapons offenses in connection with the July 31, 2001 attack. Under the sentence imposed Friday, he will have to serve nearly 11 years before becoming eligible for parole.
