Did the reporter, or did the reporter not, help frame
Edited on Sat Dec-25-04 02:58 PM by nathan hale
the question asked of Rummy by the Guardsman (concerning inadequate armor)?

It seems to be a given that he did, but I remember reading somewhere a strong denial from him that he did not.

What's the final on this?

reporter didn't frame the question.

on edit: I doesn't matter who framed the question. The whole point is the question needed asked because there is a problem about not enough armor.

4. I agree that it doesn't matter who framed the question.
The annoying thing is that it is still being spun as if...

And THAT pisses me off.

2. The reporter did not frame the question
The reporter fixed it so the soldier would be called on to ask the question.

3. Soldier say reporter did not but
the whole media spin on it was that it was a planted question not the fact that the soldiers are going to war without armour..and rummy on his most recent visit to Irag made a joke about "were there any questions that weren't planted" so they are still playing up this aspect of the event even though his visit was after the soldier had come forward and said it was not framed by the reporter

5. Also ignored
It seemed that every soldier in the room cheered and applauded the question.

6. And in a perfect republican outcome....
...soon peoplle will ask "What question?",having travelled past the valid and incisive original, passed through the spin rooms of Bush, pondered the import of the questions source and finally having forgotten that a soldier in an armed conflict was given insufficient protection by his chain of command and brushed off by his piece of SHIT supreme commander....man I love this shit...
