I wrote to Senator
Robert Byrd and pleaded with him to stand with the black caucus to block Bushs' reelection. I told him that would be a great legacy for him.
I don't know what good it will do but please write your reps. I didn't know about the situation in 2000 with no senators standing with the house members until I watched F9-11.

1. that film has raised awareness
I think there will be more than 1 Senator who stands up this time. I hope Sen. Byrd is one of them.

7. Will Pitt
from "Truthout"

" Perhaps the most significant aspect of all this, from the activist point of view, has been the effectiveness of the telephone calls and letters to Kerry. The activist push to get him involved had a significant effect on his decision to enter this effort. Likewise, calls to other Senators in order to convince them to join House members in challenging the election have likewise had significant effect. If such an effort continues, the activists involved will very likely see the desired result unfold."

9. This was a Dem Now

interview with Harvey Wasserman by Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzales:
"Thankfully, Jesse Jackson, John Conyers and other people have been on it. We are going to have a rally in Columbus January 3. There will be a rally January 6. I will tell you something, a major turning point in American democracy will happen January 6, because we have the black caucus and several other members of congress who will challenge the electoral college, which can be done under a law that was passed in the 1880’s in response to another stolen election, but they require the vote of at least one senator, and as the people have saw Fahrenheit 9/11 in 2001, no senator came forward. Now, we have had preliminary indication that Barbara Boxer has said she will not come forward"

10. That's odd
because I wrote Senator Boxer earlier this year and asked why
she didn't step forward in 2000. I was told because she wasn't
informed of the hearings, etc. Huh?!
