Should I feel this way... |
|
...at times I come across a lurking freeper and make comments that are deleted. At this time I feel unnerved by the deletion of my comments and concerned about my further posting privileges because of my not following the rules. Within a short while after my posts were deleted I find that the poster to whom I was referring was also deleted but also tombstoned. I look for the form letter in my inbox saying something to the effect saying "we are sorry TN al, you were right and we were too quick to delete your post." Kind of like Ralphie and soap poisoning in a Christmas Story. Anyway am I being too sensitive?

1. I feel the same way sometimes |

Aside from a handful of forbidden topics, DU pretty much allows the freest speech compared to anywhere on the internet.
How can you tell if someone is a Freeper? Is this like Gaydar? :eyes: :)
Okay, sarcasm aside, when someone uses terms like "Democrat Party" or praises Ayn Rand or promotes war, I do generally assume they are Freepers. I try to not to say it though, just to be polite.

2. you're not supposed to confront the trolls |

per the rules you're supposed to hit ALERT. Ya, I know, it's hard not to attack those idiots; I absolutely resent the fact that they have the GALL to come here, my island of sanity. Living in Texas I surely do need it.
