Can soldiers in Iraq read DU?
Just wonder that if reading DU in Iraq is allowed for soldiers fighting in Iraq.

6. Bush is the Nazi (and his grandfather was too); not the soldiers.
Very few DUers blame the soldiers for the situation they're in; their leaders have put their lives at risk for in an unnecessary war, all for the sake of power and greed. We don't hate the soldiers, we want them to come home. I'd say those of us who don't want the soldiers' lives put at risk for the sake of Bush's oil buddies support the soldiers in Iraq a lot more than the bloodthirsty Republicans with fake yellow ribbons slapped on their gas caps.

And I ought to know, since my brother was over there.

2. Hell, it cost them TEN Dollars to send an E-mail
How much do you think it will cost soldiers in Iraq to surf the Internet?

That is do they have the time?

5. Many of the troops have access to the Internet
for email from home. I have had a few friends over there and have sent and received email to and from Iraq.

7. Actually
I've heard of major dissent among the troops in Iraq and Afganistan. The internet has fueled this etc. So I don't know if DU is being read by them but they sure are expressing their views and they don't all echo Rummy either.

9. My brother in law,
just north of Baghdad right now, reads DU. He doesn't have a lot of time, to be honest, but he emailed me that he is hooked on lurking here.

He voted for Kerry, by the way and is against the war. He is in the National Guard.

11. I'll tell him
but he knows. And he told me in an email recently that it really makes him feel good to know it. He has read military threads on here and he's able to see that 99% of us separate the military from the bastards giving the orders.

Thanks! :hi:

13. They do.
He's told other soldiers in his unit about this place and they check it out, too. He told me unhappiness about this war and low morale are WAY more widespread than we are hearing about, by a long shot.

14. It is great to know that people like him are there when we need them
but it is awful to know how they are being used. People who stand ready to protect us should be respected, not placed in harm's way needlessly.

Tell you Brother in Law thank you, and so sorry about all this.
