Let me get Americare straight.... |
|
If you donate 100 dollars to Americare, they'll provide 3000 dollars worth a medicine with the 100 dollars you donate. Let me repeat this... Americare can get medicine at wholesale prices and with hundred dollars, they can get what we'd get if we spent 3000 dollars at the retail level???? This means for every 3000 dollars you spend on prescription drugs and other medicine, the investors in the prescription industry are taking 2900 of it and stuffing it in their pockets. Is it me or does this seem to be a bad practice???

Where's the source url? . . . And, you may be jumping to an incorrect conclusion. Why? Because the pharmaceutical corporations may have costs that are greater than the $2900 that you assume is their net profit. They may have other costs and they may be granting a charitable donation to Americare.
Again, you may not have all the correct facts.

2. Saw it on CNN... no written source... just listening. |

I also understand that some or a lot of these prescriptions are coming from overseas, so that could be making a difference. However, don't delude yourself into thinking these greedy rat f#>ks are going to do anything at a loss. I can guarantee these guys, Pfizer and the likes, are taking in 50 to 75 dollars in profits off off every 100 dollars you spend. Just do the math.

that without any prescription help (I can't get insurance of any kind), I've had to give up my migraine medication. It's $45 per DOSE. And you can only get them 6 doses at a time. Can't just buy 1.
