2. 4th time they have tried to undermine Democracy
He mentioned the election, Supreme court, was it CO?, and Texas.
Then Davis came on, they switched to Arnold baby.

He said they are attacking the underpinnings of Democracy, this extreme right wing.

4. This was an excellent thing to do.
There should be no pettiness in this thread, no matter who you support. What he did took courage, a lot of it.

11. Ahhh, I hate when that happens....
The message was very cutting to the right! I'm not sure they, CNN, will repeat it that much......they maybe scared to to that. Maybe snips during discussion interviews.

I hope they repeat it.....

7. notice Dean appears with Davis
Dean is showing guts and grabbing the leadership reins of the party. Smart move by Davis getting the fire-brand to rip into some neo-con ass on live TV.

9. Sharpton was in CA all weekend a week or two ago doing the same
and Edwards was hear about a month ago. (I don't know if CNN reported on either, 'cause I like news and so I don't watch CNN).

I think they're all going to be doing this.

10. Did they pull all four items together?
If they did, I am sorry I missed seeing them.

I will ignore the "harsh" comment, and ask if you have a source that they pulled it all together.

That said, I know the news does not cover things well. I just have not heard all four tied together except here.

Is there an article or website? I realize others have been speaking out, I just have not seen or heard anyone else come out and say it so publicly.....that is...the election & Supreme Court, CO redistricting, TX redistricting, and CA recall.

On Edit: I am referring to a source not for Dean (saw that) but for one that the others had previously said this about the 4 events Dean tied together.

14. It was live on CNN.....
We all listened....It was a quick segment.....I don't know but I suspect it will be on the Dean web site. You could go visit there. If they don't get it up, then you may request that they do so. My hunch is this is so powerful, his statement and endorsement essentially, it will be on the Dean web page.

16. I saw Dean, and was so proud. I was questioning his comment.....
about others tying all four events together.

We taped the CNN thing, and it was very well done. He said just enough and was firm.

17. Uh
Are you interpreting "harsh" negatively? It was harsh. Deservedly so.

And it was on CNN live. I don't have a source at all right now. I just watched them talk on my TV.

15. A sincere question: Is Dean the first to tie the four events together?
If Sharpton and Edwards mentioned all four events, they should credit as well.

32. Davis was definitely the first to do it, and he did it a day or
two after the press revealed that Davis was taking advice from Clinton.

33. Sharpton framed it in those terms, and made a comment which
has since been incorporated in Feinstiens' commercials.

Sharpton was the first to point out that this has nothing to do with the defecit. He said that CA had the defecit last November when Davis was democratically elected, and CA had the defecit in January when he was sworn in. He said this has nothing to do with the defecit. It has to do with a bunch of rich republicans who are trying to overturn a democratic election with a tiny percentage of the votes.

Feinstein in her commercials points out the same thing, saying that within three months of losing the election, Republicans embarked on this project to overturn it.

22. all ( candidates MUST come to California the first week
of October in a Giant anti recall push. Their services Are required. Time to put personal ambitions aside . This one is for California. Be here or be square. Contact Willie Brown for particulars. He has mentioned an old fashioned whislte stop tour of the state complete with the Clintons and candidates. Suck the Air out of Arnold's last week.

She did not say much except huh? I said everytime Delay attacked Dean, we would donate more.

I also said we were supporting the Texas Dems because of Delay's interference.

29. Just saw a live report from David Shuster on MSNBC...
he hit most of the points that Dean made but left out the "Republicans are trying to undermine Democracy" remark.

I guess that something is better than nothing but they could play the whole Dean remark, it can't be more than a few minutes.

34. I just saw that too!!!
Before Arnie came out to do a rally speech. It was brief, they did'nt show the red meat but it will definately be a target item for the repukes now. Good!

I was quite surprised that MSNBC picked up on it. They must of had a camera crew there but didn't broadcast the live version. I guess they regret it now.

This is a great distration to the *bush Sunday speech! :bounce:

Go Dean and Davis :bounce:

And...just vote No on the recall California. :)
