Glad Christmas is over so it stops being attacked.........
I got so sick of hearing every cable news network running this story as they do every year. I get so sick of seeing hypocrites crying how Christmas is under siege.

3. Only 3 months 'til Easter (will liberals attack Easter too?)
They have already taken to referring to it as "Spring Break" in the secular liberal public schools.

5. If they do decide to attack Easter --
-- and you find out where they're meeting, would you let me know?

I'd like to participate.

7. But won't we "evil secular humanists" be celebrating the execution...
of Jesus of Nazareth on Good Friday. Since we hate him so much and all :)

17. I expect them to
get the base riled up with "stealing Christmas" that "stealing Easter" should be right around the corner.

Expect attacks on "Easter Eggs, Easter Bunney, Candy, Easter Baskets, etc..." as examples.

4. On NPR's Day to Day this afternoon --
-- there was analysis that the "Christmas is under siege" crisis is manufactured.

Imagine the right-wing conservatives manufacturing a crisis to manipulate public opinion! Why, we're shocked. Shocked!

6. There's a dead reindeer in my back yard.
Santa had attached a "Happy Holidays" sign to his torso, and apparently an angry freeper filled him full of buckshot.
Also, his nametag said "Prancer," so maybe it was an anti-gay homophobe that done him in?
Hey Rudolph - you now have a permanent job.

10. All this "Christmas is being attacked" whining
made it harder for me to ignore the whole tacky, materialistic shebang this year, but I managed <sigh of relief>

13. I wish people would understand that Christmas is under attack
To be precise, people who celebrate Christmas are under attack from serious GOP propaganda dutifully broadcast by the corporate media. When I watched that Bill Oreally piece about his "secularist attackers" even I was shocked that they had gotten so brazen and so shameless. I mean I never watch this shithead, but someone posted the video here. I had no idea the propaganda was that widespread and that vicious.

11. We might have seen our last Christmas!!
...I think the attack was so relentless this year that we may have seen our last Christmas. It was brutal; they're still stacking the bodies like so much cordwood.

At my very own office I was encouraged to say "Happy Hanukah" to my Jewish cubicle mate. As if being Jewish was some excuse for not celebrating the birthday of our Lord and Savior.

This article puts the smack down on the right wing and their fictional "War on Christmas".

15. Festivus
for the rest of us.

It is catching on as a holiday.

From now on, Happy Festivus will be my season's greetings.

Oh, and no more Happy New Year, since many cultures have different start dates for their calendar. It should be Happy Hangover Day!
