What happens to a politician's money when (s)he dies? |
|
I doubt anyone in politics spends all of the money they raise in the campaign. For example, if Democratic Presidential Candidate Joseph K. Blow loses his bid for the nomination in 2004, he might still have, say, $562,391.42 left over. What happens to the money left over?
He would keep the money just in case he decides to run in the future, right? But what about when he passes away? Does that money go to the party? Does he have a say in where it goes when he dies?
What happens? Inquiring minds want to know!
