reporting on the tsunami catastrophe. If there's anything unbearable for me to watch it's asshole, seemingly-incapable-of-compassion Tucker reporting on a huge catastrophe like this. So I switched channels.

he was talking about the orphans created by this disaster, a very tragic story. he shows one picture of a swedish boy (blond hair, blue eyes) looking for his parents, then a german girl (blond hair, blue eyes) looking for her parents. very sad. then he said multiply this by 10 to 20 thousand orphans. cuts to tucker looking a bit choked up and then cuts to next topic and commercial.

being the cynical bastard that i am, i was next left with a ludicrous image of only blond haired, blue eyed, white, orphan children in the tens of thousands wandering the beaches of the bay of bengal... and then i realized that surreal mental image is probably what made tucker 'veclempt.' gee, CNN, are there only blond haired, blue eyed, white orphan children going through this hell? guess so, because they are the mainstream media, and whatever they show must be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

yes, i was insulted by the 'spin' on that orphan story, be it unintentional or not. guess what world, south and southeast asia is as lily white as the aryan nation! better turn up them waterworks and pass the plate -- these are our folks suffering. i'm glad compassion has room for all types of people...

because they keep increasing their rates. CNN now has their British edition late at night where I am, covering the disaster. They do a good job, and that I can watch.
