....but he'd need a wheelchair, an intellect, a real education, genuine, connecting, speaking ability, a dog that was not brain impaired due to being dropped on it's head (and one that was obedient and followed his master slavishly, without prompting, sat upon his desk and his knee, and could ride happily in an open car or a destroyer at sea).

He'd also have to learn to smoke using a cigarette holder (as opposed to toking and snorting) and he would certainly need to develop a quick wit, a keen sense of humor, an ability to laugh at himself, an ability to negotiate diplomatically, an understanding of the art of compromise, and a taste, as opposed to a raging addiction, for alcohol.

It just does not work for him. Anyone who remembers FDR would not vote for the sartorially challenged weecowboy if the competition was Freddy Kruger, and anyone who did vote for him is too stupid to read history and thinks "Sunrise at Campobello" was a work of fiction...

As for the pants, he's probably getting chunky around the gut and thighs (lithium and other antipsychotic drugs will do that to you, apparently), and thus they are riding up. That suitmaker has got to be even more appalled at this shot--between the "bad suit" episode at the debates, and the highwater trousers above, he looks just like the rube that he clearly aspires to be. He probably would have been just as well off seeing if he could find some pieces from the Johnny Carson collection or a lot of Haband beltless slacks on E-Bay.

That man just cannot wear clothes. Bill was a chubster, but that boy could wear a suit, even while chunky. And since he got lean, he looks like a Needless Markup model.

In the first picture, he is holding poor Barney out in front of his body--a recipe for disaster if Barney kicks against his chest. The second picture is a little better, but his hand should be supporting the dog's chest, that is between his front legs. Really, you should pick up a dog with both hands one sort of scooping their hindquarters and the other between their chest, then tuck them sort of like a football under your arm with with your right forearm along their side and your hand (open) between their front legs.

Sheesh--and you'd think someone (this is the White House) would give that poor animal some obedience training so that he would walk properly on a lead at the "heel" position. Scotties are a bit hard to train (so I've heard--I have Shelties--who, when they are through screwing in a light bulb, throw away the cardboard it came in and the old lightbulb and ask you if "that's better" and do you have more chores you'd like done), but every dog can be taught simple commands, like "sit" and "heel."
