Bush said we were sending $35 bln not $35 miln
He is so blase' with spending he has no clue to the money he throws around.

I wish it were $35 BILLION we were sending for disaster relief, and that the expense necessitated pullling out of Iraq, and the ending of that disaster creation.

1. I heard that, too...
... it was a "Dr Evil" moment (when Dr Evil didn't know the difference between a million and a billion in today's currency).

2. Did he really say billion?
He said $15 billion for AIDS relief in Africa and they never got it. Africa's disaster will in the long run be much worse although the immediate need for money and assistance in the Indian ocean is greater.

4. I heard it too.
It struck me that he didn't know he'd made a mistake. I had to turn him off at that point or my head would have exploded!

10. Glad to see you made it through.
It looks like we'll be in for a rough time during the "inaugural" address and the State of The Union.

I may take up yoga or meditation. Better yet, it might be a good idea to leave the county for a few days (or leave my TV off).

7. I jut saw a washington post video; he said Million.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/mmedia/politics/122904-5v.htm

I looked at his lips to see if there's any dubbing. I couldn't see any. It's definitely "M"illion.

8. He probably thought 35 mil was wrong in
comparison to the 40 mil for his party. His handlers probably took him aside afterward and reminded him not to think.

9. billion...million...yawn.
It simply means very little thought is being given to the issue and he probably has no intention of following up on his pledges. Just a sound byte to shut us up.

Remember the AIDS pledge for Africa? Bush is such a puppet.
