10. His supporters want their president not to give a hoot
about calamaties thousands of miles away that happen to brown people. They like to think that Smirk, like themselves, will chortle about "natural birth control" and let the fundies make snide statements about Jayzus getting revenge on un-believers, and they will expect him to make some token comment, in a completely contrived and insincere way about the death toll and make some token donation, because they know that poor old Smirk will have to do something to keep those mealy-mouthed, brown people loving, librul, commie rat bastard Yurpeans from giving him a hard time.

Those are the sentiments of the RWers I know.

He's just playing to his base.

Murkins (half anyway) just love ole' MonkeyMan....and they just love is (non)response.

Lovely country we live in, no? :-(

14. Combination of not giving a damn personally and...
Edited on Wed Dec-29-04 03:24 PM by Nothing Without Hope
...not wanting to outrage his wingnut base with apparent compassion or money for brawn- or (horrors!) black-skinned "pagan natives" (or worse, MUSLIMS!) without forcing them to accept the wingnut fundie version of "Christianity." They're jealous that way. As for * himself, if it doesn't benefit him and his cronies personally, why bother?

18. I suspect he doesn't cut brush unless there are cameras
...he has servants to take care of tasks that are beneath his dignity. It's really rather comical how "cutting brush" has been made into his iconic Marlborough Man act. I'd be very surprised to hear that he ever did it without admiring reporters and cameras standing by.

27. Well...
If you're going to chastise someone else (joking or otherwise) for mispronouncing it, you might want to know how to pronounce it in the first place, right?

The script for his response hadn't been written until the Neo Fascist Admin. had been emberassed into contributing more money and commenting on the disaster.

22. My personal favorites...
1) Heard something about "youth in asia" and was opposed to it.

2) Could not find Indian Ocean on map of Indiana.

3) Christmas is his month off.

4) Seriously thought it was the rapture and was busy kneeling in prayer.

5) Office of Special Plans informed him that there was, in fact, no tsunami.

6) Glued to Fox News coverage of the event (which was actually better than CNN/MSNBC/ETC. that day. Go figure)

7) It's hard to address the country on issues of worldwide importance when you're like, totally fucking wasted on coke and booze.

8) Laura gives really, really good head.
