Is the American Red Cross affiliated with the |
|
International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies? Anyone know? Trying to decide which one to donate to.

1. Your local Red Cross will get the money to the Int'n'l Red Cross. |
|
Either way, your money will get where it needs to go.

2. Yes, but there are different roles |

If you are looking for the tsunami relief, there is a "response" fund for the IRC that is in charge of that. Go to the website, they take cards.

5. Thom Hartman said today on the Randi Rhodes show, that |
|
although the Red Cross does a fine job, it's too top heavy and a lot of the money doesn't make it to the people who really need it. He said he really didn't think Libby Dole needed a fat paycheck for her involvement as well. He did recommend other charities, Doctor's Without Borders being one of them.
