Quandry: Who would you choose, Reagan, Bush, or Bush Jr.
If you had to choose between Ronald Reagan, George Bush, or George Bush Jr for president who would you pick? I would go with Reagan, I don't like the Bush's at all.

1. The elder Bush...
...from what I hear the "movement conservatives" didn't really get much from him.

26. Bush Sr. is behind all of this.
I'd take the comatose Reagan anyday.

5. Hard choice, but I would choose Poppy.
I didn't like most of what he did, but at least he wasn't a moron.

Hell, even Reagan is looking good in retrospect, compared to the present Bush.

6. I'd go with Bush 1
At least he knew when to stop fighting a war and listened to some people who were smarter than him.I also thought it was prettty brave to raise taxes knowning it was political sucicide.Like it or not that tax increase helped Clinton. And remember 1000 points of light?

8. Me too.
Don't get me wrong, I hate Bush the First for passing NAFTA; but then again, the idea got started in the Reagan admin. and Bush Jr. is a free trade whore.

Mostly I prefer Bush the First to the other two because he wasn't a cult of personality piece of trash.

7. the elder Bush.
I think, alhough a conservative, he was alot brighter than his son, and maybe more moderate.

Reagan was just a song and dance man...never liked him. And Sonny boy is just an asshole.

10. I'd take Reagan in a heartbeat
WITHOUT his Veep.

You guys aren't thinking very clearly. Either that, or you aren't up to speed on the Bush Crime Family. Bush1 was just the precursor for Bush2. He raided the Treasury and stole from taxpayes too. And SO much more.

I don't use the word "evil" very often. Takes a lot for anyone to cross that line with me. But Bush1, even tho I wasn't really following politics at the time, always made me feel he was evil. The other thing about him, and I wish to hell I'd followed this little line of intuitive inquiry too, was that I often wondered to myself: what does it mean that the former head of the CIA is a U.S. President.

Well, kiddies, now we have some idea.

Eloriel

Not a better person than the others, but more competent and that's important, too, when you're running a superpower.

20. What a choice!
Reagan, BushI, or Whisle-ass! :scared:
Satan, Hitler or Stalin! :scared:
Nails scraping the blackboard, incessive whistling or Britany Spears singing! :scared:
Total lobotomy, castration, or slamming my head repeatedly in the car door! :scared:

What a choice!!

I suppose and only if there's a gun to my head, I'd pick Reagan. At least Reagan didn't hate the Americans and most of the world, like the BFEE does.

us everyday Americans. He did have disdain, he just hid it a little better than Reagan and Jr.

23. Second question
Edited on Sat Sep-06-03 08:29 PM by indypaul
Who is your favorite Menendez brother?
Third question
Which is your favorite, Frank or Jesse James?
On edit: Definition of a quandry is a deep sea diver
at the bottom of ocean and receives a message to get
to the surface quickly because the ship is sinking.
Seems to apply here.

25. Bush I -- before he became VP
When he was running against Ronnie, as I remember, he was pro-choice and anti-voo doo economics. Ronnie makes me sick. Bush II -- I think daddy is ashamed of him. He has gone against everything daddy believed in, i.e. multilateralism.

27. Bush 1
He was the least tied to the movement conservatives. Reagen was the best politician of the bunch, and W carries the scariest bunch of people in the world with him. I think Bush Sr is the most actually conservative of that bunch and not that great of a politician.
