I got through to Washington Journal, but the subject had changed
I was all prepared to talk about the aid situation. I have no doubt that, when all is said and done, that a very high percentage of aid to the tsunami stricken areas would be from the citizens and charities in the US. I feel that that this controversy, IMHO, is about leadership style and the perceptions of the rest of the world.

Since *'s foreign policy is about superiority and dominance, and since there was no immediate gesture, not even a few minutes of face time offering condolences, then how can there not be a negative reaction?

* would rather spend $ 35 million for seven minutes of war to overthrow a paper dictator than have a lot more people heartened by his leadership in giving aid.

By the way, if he enjoys 'clearing brush' so much, there are piles of it all over South Asia. Why doesn't he go there?

3. I was trying to listen for your call, but missed while trying to call.
There was another guy from Cincinnati on about 15 minutes later- he wasn't on the humility and humanity side.

I agree completely about * missing a huge opportunity. As one of my morning blogs pointed out, this has exceeded KKKarl Rove's imagination for political gain.

If I were *, I would call all the media I could, get all dressed up and suggest that all of the world leaders DO something, rather than "just interrupt their vacations"

This is a huge opportunity to show real leadership. Perhaps the Dems could show some, too. like this, from Athenae in First Draft...
