A lei of origami cranes made in memory of a fallen soldier will greet returning Schofield troops who arrive home today from deployment in the Middle East.

The origami cranes are in memory of atomic war victims and a symbol of peace and a future free of nuclear war.

I do not know why this would be an appropriate remembrance for an American troop falling in Iraq, tragic as his death certainly is.
