Did BushSR(CIA) have Danny Casolaro killed to protect BushSR ?
"Casolaro started his work nearly two years before, investi-
gating the bankrupting of a small computer software company
called Inslaw, allegedly by the U.S. Justice Department. INSLAW,
a company headed by Bill and Nancy Hamilton of Washington
D.C., had developed a package known as PROMIS -- short for
Prosecutor's Management Information System -- to act as a case
management tool for the Justice Department's unwieldy work load.
"Inslaw President Bill Hamilton researcher - Branton] has claimed that Ed Meese associate EARL
BRIAN was given control of pirated versions of the PROMIS soft-
ware by Meese to sell back to different U.S. government agencies
for great profit. Two courts have so far agreed with Hamilton
awarding an 8 million dollar judgment, but a higher court of
appeal has quashed the award and the verdict, declaring that it
was not the jurisdiction of the lower courts. As of October 9, the
case has moved into the realm of the Supreme Court.

-----------------------------------------

"EARL BRIAN OWNS UNITED PRESS INTERNATIONAL (UPI)
and FINANCIAL NEWS NETWORK (FNN).

"According to a Washington man, who claims to have modified
the cobol-based software for the CIA and other intelligence agencies,
the software was a reward for Earl Brian's role in arranging the
so-called 'October Surprise' gambit, the alleged conspiracy to
withhold the American hostages in Iran until after the 1980 election
which saw Carter removed from power. The 'October Surprise' scandal
has taken some time to emerge.

"In a Paris meeting, President Bush is alleged to have met
with Ali Akabar Hashemi Rafsanjani, the speaker of the Iranian
Parliament, Mohammed Ali Rajai, the future President of Iran and
Manucher Ghorbanifar, an Iranian arms dealer with connections
to Mossad, according to Navy Captain Gunther Russbacher who
claims to have flown Bush, William Casey -- the CIA chief -- and
Donald Gregg, a CIA operative to that location. Russbacher, who
made these allegations in May is now in jail on Terminal Island,
convicted on the charge of impersonating a U.S. Attorney.
"The Washington man is MICHAEL RICONOSCIUTO who is
now waiting for a trial in a Washington jail on conspiracy to sell
drugs charges, charges which Riconosciuto claims are manufac-
tured. Indeed, the charge made against Riconosciuto were made
one week after Riconosciuto authored and signed an affidavit
describing his role in modifying the pirated software.

"The affidavit also claimed that he had been contacted by
phone and threatened by PETER VIDENIEKS and Customs official who, Riconosciuto alleged, had intelligence
ties] as to the possible consequences of his going public with certain information.

"According to Riconosciuto, Videnieks was a frequent visitor
to the Cabazon Indian reservation near Palm Springs and visited
with tribal manager, John P. Nichols. Nichols was in essence
Riconosciuto's boss in a number of enterprises conducted on
reservation land and the PROMIS modification was just one of
these projects. According to Riconosciuto, in an interview with
T.C. conducted from jail, the PROMIS software was modified to
install a backdoor access for use by American intelligence
services. The software was then sold to 88 different countries
as a sort of 'trojan horse' package enabling us to access their
intelligence systems. According to Riconosciuto these countries
included Iraq and Libya.

2. Danny was warned -"If you continue this investigation, you will die."

As Casolaro worked on his Octopus story, he came to rely increasingly on Nichols as a source, and as a friend. But in July 1991, after Nichols visited him in Washington, D.C., Danny began to suspect that Nichols was far more sinister than he'd imagined, and began to investigate his activities. Three days before he died, he called Gates, who works in the bureau's L.A. office. As Gates has testified before the House Judiciary Committee, Casolaro told him that Nichols had warned Danny, "If you continue this investigation, you will die." Other publications, notably Vanity Fair, have wondered whether Casolaro committed suicide; none has had the benefit of the evidence we've been able to amass. Spy has discovered that on July 31- ten days before he died, six days before he had a 64-minute phone conversation with Nichols, seven days before he spoke to Agent Gates- Danny Casolaro learned a terrible secret of Robert Booth Nichols's, a secret that, if revealed, could cost Nichols his life, a secret that Casolaro might well have told Nichols he knew.

THE OCTOPUS FILE

by Phil Linsalata
Linsalata is a reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Joseph Daniel Casolaro's family and friends buried him on August 16. Less than a week later, feeling a little like a vulture, I joined a handful of reporters at Nightline's Washington headquarters to pick over the notes and files left behind by the forty-four-year- old Washington free-lancer known to his friends as Danny.

His brother Anthony, a doctor in suburban Washington, had gathered the materials and given them to Nightline after staff members there offered to keep the documents safe. Dr. Casolaro also agreed to allow some of the reporters who had been working the same ground as Danny to go through the files.

As he spoke with each reporter, the doctor encourage continued investigation. he raised the possibility that his brother had been murdered in his hotel room in Martinsburg, West Virginia, challenging the statement by Dr. James Frost, West Virginia deputy chief medical examiner, that the physical evidence held "nothing inconsistent with suicide." Somehow, authorities had failed to notify family members until almost two days after the death. In the meantime, a preliminary ruling of suicide had been issued, clearing the way for a thorough cleanup of the scene and the embalming of the body, which would make a later autopsy more difficult.

One hope was that a review of Casolaro's papers might shed light on the question of murder or suicide. What was Danny doing in Martinsburg? Who was the source living near there who, Danny claimed, would bring him a breakthrough? If he intended to commit suicide, why had he driven hours from his suburban Washington home? Where were the files he carried with him, the ones he'd been seen with on the last afternoon of his life? And where was the research and hard evidence for Casolaro's book-in-progress? If he had gathered such evidence, it wasn't readily apparent in the material.

3. O.K. I'll bite (finally p.f.i.b.n.)
I've always felt this one is fishy beyond most normal standards. First read about it in the Village Voice in 1992 I believe.
Very haunting.
The prospect that he was indeed murdered is highly probable, and I don't usually "buy into" these things.

5. Another Dead Journalist - Paul Wilcher. Investigated October Surprise
http://www.copi.com/articles/guyatt/octopus.html

Another Dead Journalist

Paul Wilcher was investigating possible government involvement in the October Surprise and the Inslaw PROMIS story. By May 1993 he told friends that his information had gone "beyond" Casolaro, and acknowledged fear for his life On 23 June 1993, he was found dead in the bathroom of his apartment. Wilcher's investigation records are missing. Unusually, FBI and CIA personnel were quickly on the scene. As with Casolaro, Wilcher's bathroom was thoroughly cleaned the next day. His body was cremated before identification was independently confirmed, and without complete forensic examination. Cause of death has not been established.

7. And Is Energy the Only Thing Exported from NuKular power plants?
Edited on Sat Sep-06-03 08:19 PM by InkAddict
down/around the St Lawrence (so, how come it's suddenly back on-line again - oh yeah, needed extra juice to fend off black-outs from antiquated system-good justification) and easily accessible to a small airport where things can be trucked back and forth from a small shed on a lonely rural road?

Is it a fair question if the reward was a Buy?/Lease? Buy/Lease (kinda like LuvsMe/LuvsMeNot)statement hidden away beneath a blue legal cover. What's the difference, anyway, if a judge eventually ruled that the DOJ-stolen software that counted criminal days-in-the-system for the prosecutor could be better modified for counting/scamming votes all around the world?

What's the big deal if foreigners had clearance to play with American government hardware all alone at strange off-hours. Hmmm...heard the integration testing(?) never did quite work out; HOW AMAZING! I'll bet the Judge that guards the River Styx has heard and relayed a lot of crazy secrets in exchange for his silver tokens; whether the boat ever floated is another story.

My tin foil hat and constitutional right to due process were stolen long ago by reason of association in another life, but it feels like damn deja vu! Nope, never really happene--brain scrubbed!

But, then there's that serendipitous two degrees of separation thing...Oh boy, karma must be very bad - maybe I should just stay out of WV bathtubs.

I do have a question though - rumor had it that perhaps a cleaner sent from a certain WV senator's office made the scene all nice before the body could start stinking? More BS CYA?????
