Who do we want as the next Republican Presidential candidate(realistic)?
Jeb Bush - After W fucks up the country, would it hurt them to run another Bush? Jeb at least sounds intelligent.

John McCain - Will he pull a lot of votes from the middle?

Dick Cheney - Asshole that will be tied to the failed Bush Administration.

Rudolph Guliani - Carries a lot of dirty laundry. I would have no problem with him as a candidate.

Arnold Schwarzenegger - Moderate Republican. Probably will not be able to run(foreign born).

Others?

I personally would be most scared of McCain running in 08'. Many will perceive him as being close to the middle, which could pull in many independants and undecided.

My pick would be for Cheney.

3. I think of the ones listed McCain is the most realistic
But somehow I could live with him as president if it came down to it. Since they seem to have control of the election system, they can run pretty much whoever they want as long as they're able to get it close enough to steal.

4. By then...
Edited on Fri Dec-31-04 10:20 AM by seeker4ever
The fascists will have total control over all media and will place who ever they want in the position. Just like they did in '00 and '04.

There will be no Democrat Presidents until after the revolution.

The belief that there are real elections is a sign of the idiocy and failure of the Democrat party.

8. For the good of the country --
-- I'd hope they would nominate moderates to their ticket, but I doubt that that will happen.

This afternoon I thought that Lowell Weicker would be a good choice to be the new uber-boss of Intelligence.

10. Realistically... John McCain is their only option
People are going to be so sick of Bush by the time this next election comes around, the name will literally nauseate people... Mark my words on that. That makes Jeb an extremely unlikely candidate for the party. Giuliani is a Yankee with a "TON" of dirty laundry involving police brutality, political corruption and other najor abuses of power. Dick Cheney??? That would be like electing the Penguin for President. Schwarzennegger????? Give me a break. He's a sexual predator that's seen using drugs on film in a documentary and he's an actor prone to play violent unchristian roles. Tied in with his relationship to the Kennedy family... He's not looking good. He may be popular in California, but he wouldn't stand a chance anywhere else in the United States.

Really... I'd wait to see which Republicans come out strong during the 2006 election. See which one draws the most media attention, besides the jesters in the White House, and you'll have your next Republican candidate.

18. I'm not sure
How old was Reagan when he ran? Anyway, McCain will be hard to beat. I've met Dems who like him so he'll appeal to a broad group of people. I'm just not sure he'll make it through the primaries.

12. Who I would want and who the GOP would want are far different
The GOP will probably run Jeb Bush. They can't run Schwarzenegger yet (foreign-born), they can't run the Reverend Moon yet (same reason), and they won't run Giuliani because he's pro-choice. And considering the condition of Cheney's heart, they won't run him.

I want them to run Fred Phelps. I want the Republican Party to justify running the True Face of the Party--and besides, the attack campaign against the bastard would be BEAUTIFUL!

13. George Pataki
George Pataki would be the best choice for us because he is too moderate on social issues and considered an "outsider" for social conservatives to come out and vote for him. and it would help us in the south.

and he lacks "star power" or some other thing which makes him stand out that people like Giuliani, Arnold, and though more conservative McCain have. and this makes moderates less likely to vote for him over the democratic nominee.

14. Ridge. He's a real wooden soldier. I think if he ran people wouldn't buy
into the "there's everything to fear" message so easily.

I think a lot of people would think there are more important things than war and terror if Ridge ran and they'd vote D.

because the media and conservatives can bash him about his adulterous affair when he was in office.

We'll have "Swift Subway Straphangers for Truth" videos and EVERYTHING!
