TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - After months spent assessing damage caused by natural disasters in his own state, Gov. Jeb Bush will leave Sunday for a trip to Thailand and Indonesia as part of a delegation to tsunami-wrecked countries to help assess relief needs.

The governor, who helped oversee relief efforts caused after this year's record four hurricanes in Florida, will travel with Secretary of State Colin Powell. It will be the first trip by high-level U.S. officials to the countries devastated by a massive Indian Ocean tsunami spawned by a giant earthquake Sunday. The group will then report back to the governor's brother, President Bush, on what the United States should do to help. <snip>

8. I was surprised when CNN posed THE question

I know, I know CNN is dung, so I was really surprised when they questioned some pundit and asked THE question: Is this an attempt to place Jebbie on the national stage to gain exposure for a run for the Presidency in 2008? They then reported on Jebbie's and Barb's denial that he would consider running. The pundit responded that this is probably the case, that many people who professed a non-interest in running for high office, changed their minds when they realized that their country "needed" them. Damn, how many years of the bushites will we have to endure?
