Are you part of the culture of blame?
Although I know folks who still "blame" or "credit" God, this is an interesting philosophical piece.....

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,1059-1420214,00.html

"FIRST COMES the horror, the chilling horror of the disaster. Then comes the craving for statistics, as if to calibrate a response. Then come the anecdotes, the charity and finally the blame. None is so compelling as the blame. Blame somehow softens the horror. It mutates charity into insurance."

<snip>

"History may yet see the dissipation of that sympathy and support in America’s attacks on and occupation of Islamic states as the last great folly of the 20th century. What might have become a global coalition against terror has been turned instead into a widespread and fanatical anti-Americanism. America and Britain’s overreaction to 9/11 and the reduction of Iraq to anarchy are classics of what Diamond calls a society recklessly “choosing to fail”.

Unlike the tsunami, in the case of Iraq we at least know whom to blame. The war is being waged by two democracies, Britain and America. For its outcome they have only themselves to blame. "

1. Maybe God is blaming Corporate america... or just starting to.
The disasters in the regions where we exploit those peoples is a foreshadowing. Maybe God is blaming them for not standing up to oppression and freedom? (that's just as valid as the repuke reason as to why they're getting hit hard over there...)

Whatever the US gets hit with is going to be a real doozy. :-(

Especially when all of these IT companies donate (pocket change) and ask us to donate more, especially when they've been cutting American jobs and moving them to you-know-where.

Sorry. Gates makes $50 bil and donated $3 mil. Don't forget his business practices either, he's a vulture that doesn't wait for his prey to die before devouring them. But I digress. That's 0.00006% of his worth, of which he took out of his Foundation tax haven. I may as well donate $2.88 and get the same "He is such a philanthropist all worthy of our desire and humility" treatment. :eyes:
