I guess that I should be thankful I'm white (close enough) and that
I live in a rural (close enough) area.

The Mrs. got Netflix last month and Wednesday we got our third shipment of movies: The Last Samurai, Chronicles of Riddick....and John Q.

I'm sure some of you have seen this movie. To make a long story short, I am both pissed and sad.

We have Valley Health plan, which is supposed to cover Luther Hospital employees and their families. Yeah, OK. Let's say it does.

But my wife, besides having DMII and asthma, has congenital heart disease. The woman has two bottles of nitro in her purse, and another four scattered around the house. I wonder if VHP will be around for her next heart attack (she hasn't had one for six years luckily)

I'm currently on a waiting list for Chippewa Valley Techical College's RN program. John Q.-mainly the issues involved-reminded me of how I should share my talents as a professional in Winnipeg once I'm done with nursing school.

While in school though, I'll see if I can do vitals and give health info down at the Hope Gospel Mission.

Rant done for now.

I wonder if Dubya has seen this movie...he probably has, after some white house video-techie put a fucking laugh track on it.

3. I theink we're managing to confuse ourselves here.
HGM is (I think) on Farwell & has a second-hand shop out on the West Side in Cassidy's old supermarket, but in fact I didn't know that they were providing any kind of health care. There is also a free clinic in town that operates on donated time & has no church affiliation. The free clinic is only open 1 afternoon/evening a week & they are generally looking for volunteers.
