The Tsunami must be a bonanza for Visa
they are getting probably 3% of all money being donated that is being put on their cards.

1. Wow.
I made a donation through Costco and she said 100% of it was going to the Red Cross to their Tsunami Victims Fund.

Now maybe she meant 100% of the amount the Red Cross gets AFTER Visa gets its 3%?

Is this a normal thing with a transaction like that? I know there is a merchant fee, but damn, credit cards are a cash cow for bankcard centers, you'd think they could waive it just for this?

2. it sure would be nice if they would do something like that
but I haven't read anything about it and something THAT big would probably make the news
