So...the rightwingnuts want a dictatorship?
Edited on Sun Jan-02-05 08:21 AM by LynnTheDem
Rightwingnuts say we should blindly obey everything bush orders us to do.

We should not question bush.

Whatever bush wants, we should just agree to.

bush is not subject to the US Constitution, US law, or international law.

bush is not subject to the Geneva Conventions.

bush can order any person in the world to be held in prison for life, without trial.

Torture doesn't include rape or sodomy or mental & emotional anguish. Killing prisoners isn't torture. Torture is whatever bush deems to be torture; anything else is allowable as long as only the USA does it.

bush can order the invasion, occupation & bombing of any nation he wants to, and we should all shut up & just support bush.

bush can do anything he wants.

bush knows what's best for us all and that's the end of discussion.

*********

If that's not a dictatorship, just how the f*ck do rightwingnuts define dictatorship???

21. Ignorance is very powerful.
Control the information and you control the people. A hell of a lot of people think that what they see on Fox news is the truth.

2. Sounds very similar to...
the Christian fundamentalist concept of God - i.e. someone who creates the laws but is not bound by them.

4. As someone once told me a long, long time ago...
A dictatorship is fine, as long as you agree with the dictator. And as Bush said--he'd go along with a dictatorship, as long as he's the dictator. I think it won't be long until even the most right-wing of the rightwingnuts among us will come to realize just what Bush is, what he truly stands for, and the terrible consequences of going along with him. Let us just hope and pray it's not too late for all of us when that time arrives.

Meanwhile, let's keep putting the truth out there. This is not a battle we can afford to lose. Keep the faith!

8. Most of the preReagan and many Regan Era paleo Conservatives have
Edited on Sun Jan-02-05 08:51 AM by Prodemsouth
been a wake for sometime. It is talk radio era no-nothings,neo-cons, and fundies we have to worry about and they out number most of those paleo-conservatives by large margins. The left getting over its addiction to losing would also help. Smart politics would help but its rare across the board on our side. Kerry dosen't seem to be bother by losing- these defeatist elitist are useless.

13. Yep,actually said "things would be easier"
If it was a dictatorship, and I was the dictator.

Sure as hell did. Now..if Bill Clinton would have uttered those words you'd still be seeing the replay on CNN.

17. He said it not just once, but several times:
"A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question about it, " Bush said. -- Business Week, July 30, 2001

George W. Bush says he wants to attack Iraq to install democracy. But as he explained on December 18, 2002: "If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator." http://www.commondreams.org/views03/0223-01.htm

7. Look at it this way. Maybe this is just what they think
Bush thinks like them so every thing is OK. That they will not go along with every thing he thinks will be when they open their minds. My whole life I have seen people like this. For what ever reason they will just go along with who ever is the ruler. Can be a family or a town or country. Some People seem to be the same.

Saddam is a "evil man". He murders his people...
He thumbs his nose at the great USofA...
He's Hitler resurrected!
He tried to kill my daddy.
Never mind that we once supported him and he has nothin' to do with 9/11!
That's why we have to invade Eye-Raq and we've captured him!

Let's pretend that our abuses at Abu Gharib never happened.

16. And the saddest thing of all
is that they call it "democracy," unless, of course, they're smart enough to realize that it isn't democracy, and then they spout the line, "America isn't a democracy; it's a republic," which shows that they still aren't all that smart, since they don't know that a "republic" is merely a country without a monarchy.
