10. R/W hate-mongers have never worried about pushing anyone away

The leaders put on a placid, tolerant-seeming face while their surrogates spread hateful and vulgar racism, homophobia, misogyny etc., all over the airwaves and Internet. And it works like a charm.

Why shouldn't it work for us? Put "Bush is an asswipe" or whatever all over the place and let our leaders distance themselves from it while benefitting from it, just like the Pukes.
