Rumsfeld expects violence after vote
From correspondents in Washington
December 23, 2004

US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld warned today that it would be "a mistake" to think that deadly chaos in Iraq will subside after elections scheduled for January 30.

"I think looking for a peaceful Iraq after the elections would be a mistake. I think our expectations level ought to be realistic about that," Mr Rumsfeld told reporters at the Pentagon.

"These folks have a lot to lose: The extremists and terrorists and the people who are determined to try to take back that country are determined not to lose," said Mr Rumsfeld.

snip After all the talk about how attacks on US forces in Iraq would increase leading up to the 1/30/05 elections, now they're saying that attacks on US forces in Iraq will increase after the elections as well.

2. Wait, I thought there was supposed to be violence only prior to
the vote.

Now there's violence after. Well it seems hardly a reason to have a vote then doesn't it. So does that mean that all those who have died for the vote died for nothing. I'm sure they thought the vote would bring peace. Now it's not.

We all know who will win.

Oh did I say DUH, no effin SHIT to rummy's new revalation?

19. They are telling us the cakewalk story again. This time it's about Iran.
They say that the people in Iran don't like their government, and would welcome us, if we invade.

8. Huh? What happened to all the flowers they were supposed to toss?
Edited on Sun Jan-02-05 05:09 PM by Tinoire

You never really expected flowers did you Donny boy?

Per PNAC's favorite philosopher, Leo Strauss:

they would give the people just what was commensurate with their needs and capacities. But what exactly is that? Certainly, giving them freedom, happiness, and prosperity is not the point. In Strauss's estimation, that would turn them into animals. The goal of the wise is to ennoble the vulgar. But what could possibly ennoble the vulgar? Only weeping, worshipping, and sacrificing could ennoble the masses. Religion and war - perpetual war - would lift the masses from the animality of bourgeois consumption and the pre-occupation with "creature comforts." Instead of personal happiness, they would live their lives in perpetual sacrifice to God and the nation.

21. But bushCartel said all would be beautiful once Hussein was caught once
the fake handover of sovereignty was done once the elections occur.

So really what he means is once we get our genocidal occupying arrogant ignorant asses out of Iraq, THEN things will settle down.

Gee DUHHHHH.

And STILL he carries on with the bullshit of "terrorists and extremists", even though the US military has made it very clear; ORDINARY IRAQIS fighting OCCUPATION.

Normally I'd say who's STUPID enough to fall for this shit any longer...but then we know the answer to that one; the incredibly easy to dupe & con rightwingnut rubes, of course.

25. Even though the Iranians say they will show us what a REAL war is
if we invade?

But Rummy was so right about the Iraqis wanting us to invade them...so we should just trust in Rummy.

Damn, we're good at the sarcasm thing! :D

He's called Rummy because he drinks a half gallon of the stuff for breakfast.

Mr. Dumbsfeld is so out to lunch I doubt the entire theory of the 6 vodka martini lunch is an excuse for his absolute buffoonery. What really pisses me off is that with a $250,000,000 personal fortune he doesn’t have to work. Why, oh why must this jerk keep his job when he doesn’t need one in the first place. Where is Bozo the Clown when we really need him? He could do a much better job than drunken Rummy any day. We all know what an idiot and war criminal he is. But you know Bush. The more you fail the more you get promoted. Besides, Dick Cheney is the prezidint.

You know, if anything happens to Bush we'll have to deal directly with Dr, Darkness Cheney.(opps I forgot) We already are.

But back to Rummy. What a freakin fool. But he's a fool happily skipping along to the bank. The pinnacle of corruption.

All of these guys are elephant turds dropped into America's living rooms. Sad part is nobody can see the truth hiding in plain sight.
