How many Americans MISSING in the South Asia Tsunami?
Has their status been changed from missing to presumed dead? If there are "thousands" of Americans missing in Asia why is the official US Death toll still 12?

2. Thousands.
There may be a lot of injured people that haven't been heard from.

I think there are still a lot of areas that are cut off from communications.

3. I heard earlier that the death toll had gone to 14
and they said a "few" thousand missing. I had originally heard 2,000, but haven't heard any other specifics in the past 2-3 days. And I find this frustrating.

4. I was wondering this myself
I know that Thailand & Indonesia are popular tourist destinations this time of year for people who teach on the JET Program in Japan.

Mind you, that's lots of Westerners, not only Americans, but nevertheless - pretty much any country in Asia is a HUGE Winter Break destination for many of them.

I haven't seen any numbers recently, though. . .

5. They are just wandering around Thailand waiting to be found.
I think it's still 2000 missing.

6. : ( I wonder when they will change status on the missing.
I can't blame the Earthquake and Tsumani on Bush, but everything else since then is his fault for the completely inept response.
