1. Two things I will never forget...
The sacrifice of many that day and since.

And, that the Bush Administration intentionally or unintentionally dropped the ball, and then has tried to capitallize on that tradgedy ever since...

2. This has been posted at least once before
very emotional and designed to inflame our vengence. Of course we have not forgotten. Our lives are shaped by the horrendous acts against us. The real issue is, how do we react? With our own brutal vengence? Or do we do the really hard work and get to the roots of the evil that threatens us? Do we examine the complex issues of the Middle East and the role of our country, past and present? Or do we just carpet bomb and send more troops? I find these links disheartening and insulting. No one has forgotten. That's lunacy. We need to be discussing solutions. Not wallowing in victimology and bloodlust.

3. No. It's no longer moving in the right way.
It was compiled in Oct. 2002, and that makes a difference.

I watched CNN Presents earlier this evening and it was a show that I think I've seen before, getting some of their various staff's reactions and stories that day. With, of course, a lot of footage.

Sure I cried. Several times. It was a very painful day, for all of us. And no, we'll never forget it.

But I noticed that there was something else going on within as I watched. Something else trying to be born, and while I'm not entirely sure what it is, it most certainly has to do with Bush.

In fact, during every bit of the footage, the name "Bush" kept running through my head.

It doesn't matter if he and his administration were just too incompetent to have stopped it, or that millions of people the world over suffered great psychic wounds that day, and of course thousands lost their lives.

9-11 equals What Evil Bush Can Wreak.

And like I said, it doesn't matter if it's "mere" incompetence or something far more sinister. In any case, I am not capable of being emotionally manipulated by those images any more. I still have sadness and grief, but it's for those who suffered NEEDLESSLY, it's in fact mostly BECAUSE the suffering was NEEDLESS.

Causing people to suffer NEEDLESSLY is what the Bush administration is most successful at, other than lining their plutocrat supporters' pockets, of course. But then, the two are intimately connected, aren't they?

Eloriel
