4. If We Could Figure A Way To Generate Say, $100,000 Per Year Net...
from the property, it could be viable. There's 5,000 acres. Lots of virgin forest. A big lake. It probably wouldn't cost very much up front. Of course, we'd want an ecologically sustainable plan. I'm just dreaming.

5. I was in the vicinity, last year...
The good: It's really gorgeous...
The bad: It's always cold...When the wind doesn't blow from the Andes, it blows from the Coast and the fog (as in Humboldt Current and SF)
People there adore Pinochet, as he built the famous "Carretera Austral" - Southern Road, that allows trucks and buses to go all the way to Punta Arenas.

I guess Smirk doesn't even have such an achievement to brag about...

6. I Figured From What Little I Know Of The Area, And The Latitude...
that it is a harsh climate, like most of Alaska. The advertisement doesn't even suggest that agricultural cultivation is possible. And, the political climate, another big issue, sounds challenging. These things were going through my mind as I wondered, "why such a nice place, surrounded by state lands, for so little money?"
