3. I'm just profoundly sad he didn't simply act on his own. |

And the whole thing is so carefully stage-managed I risk sounding - BY DESIGN - crass and ungrateful for even saying how I feel.
I consider it an enormous lost opportunity to bring some notion of credibility to the US (personal integrity, of which GWB has ZERO, works wonders for this).
I can only hope he knows what he's doing.

this is the most effective way that he can help the victims. Good for Bill for putting the lives of hundreds of thousands of people and the reputation of the United States in the world first.

that over 100,000 people lost their lives, and he can use his influence to help. Maybe it's not politically motivated. With all due respect, maybe we should all take the politics out of this tragedy and just do the right thing. I'm no fan of dubya, but this has to go beyond politics. Right now, we are all humans, not Americans, or Democrats, or Christians, or whatever else. Just for now. Please.

9. I think Big Dawg knows what he's doing....... |
|
I believe he is doing this fundraising to raise funds, not to polish his P.R., and
(2) he knows full well he looks like a great draft horse willingly stepping into harness in their wobbly little sulky. And the Bushcompoops know it, too. He just makes them look worse.

Welcome to DU! I think Clinton is great no matter what he does, but Dubby's Daddy back in the picture really sucks. I suppose it is good to help out but when will we see the last of Poppy?

8. I thought Clinton spoke out before W??? Clinton said he waited 2 1/2 days |
|
W was angry he came out first, but now I see him using Clinton, even he is up there asking for small Internet donations. Before you know it, Dean will be up there! Clinton in the middle, and remember he did not do much for us during the election cycle. I don't want to see him now.

I don't think we should be upset with Clinton, for working with Shrub and his father.
I think it shows what a kind and gentle spirit he has that he is able to work with those repukes. You know, after all he went through, it would be very easy for him to still be bitter and angry.
But he knows there's a greater mission at hand.
I do find it quite amusing though, that he has to clean up Shrub's mess. Amazing, isn't it? Maybe deep down they realize Democrats know how to get the job done.
