Channel 5, WCVB is teaming with Chronicle (popular evil liberal TV travelogue program) and the Boston Channel (heathen, out-of-touch with mainstream heartkand America website) "Turning the Tide: New England Responds", a telethon/web-a-thon for tsunami victims which will ensure that contributions go to legitimate, helpful organizations.

"We are going to tell you on Thursday about some agencies that are on the ground in Southeast Asia providing relief. Organizations that have been providing disaster relief for a number of years. We will tell you how to get involved, what kinds of work they are providing, what kinds of service they are providing and leave it up to you, the viewers, to choose which organization you may want to work with," WCVB-TV Director of Public Affairs Karen Holmes Ward said.
