Boy the echo chamber got that Osama shirt thing out fast...
This morning I've already heard a co-worker talking about us giving money to people in Osama shirts, and already seen the still pic posted on a non-political message board.

Good god, do they work fast.

10. Basically it's this....
Like any time the great leader gets criticized, the wingnuts find some minute, almost completely irrellevant detail to focus on to distract from the source of criticism and deflect negative attention away from the great leader.

Last week * gets criticized for his stinginess then all of a sudden the right wing echo chamber starts pushing a story of a scene where an onlooker in Indonesia was wearing an Osama t-shirt. This of course negates the tragedy and totally absolves us of any moral obligation.

It originated in a story by Wolf Blitzer (or whichever RW source he got it from) and now it's spreading out to the public consciousness.

2. They are good at it
Which kind of sucks. Those kind of stories just have to sit around long enough for them to get confused--they never get retracted or debunked. If they are, it's well after anybody is paying any attention to the story.

3. Well, they do have a multi-billion dollar foundation/think tank system
to coordinate their media control, so I'm not that amazed.

But what exactly is the story? This is the first I've heard of it. Someone is wearing an Osama shirt? Please elaborate, with a link,

6. This one should be EASY to swat down
Possible responses:

-They wouldn't be wearing those T-shirts if we'd captured him, would they?

-Just another example of how we're losing the battle for hearts and minds under Glorious Leader.

7. Even better:
Why give aid to people, whether they support Osama bin Laden or not?

Because it's the right thing, and it proves him wrong.
