How many U.S. military casualties are able to return to combat?
Edited on Tue Jan-04-05 03:04 PM by Goathead
Due to the extent of their wounds I would assume that most G.I.s are unable to return to combat. On ICC it says there have been 11,000 casualties up to Dec. 2004. Just wondering how many U.S. military personnel were put out of commission and how many were able to return to combat.

1. Less than half
Of the 10,252 total wounded, the Pentagon said 5,396 were unable to return to duty and 4,856 sustained injuries that were light enough to allow them to resume their duties. The total is normally reported each week, but the Pentagon had not updated the figures since Dec. 22, when the number of wounded stood at 9,981.

3. Oh, but thank God we're coming up with technology...
to strap fake limbs on people who've lost limbs so we can send them back into hell. They haven't paid enough to deserve a free ticket out of there. They should give their life for that. </sarcasm>
