Tsunami vs Iraq perspective. And Lindsey Graham HOPES for big war pricetag
Edited on Tue Jan-04-05 07:28 PM by Bluebear
Next time someone crows about our $350million, which we had to pry out of Bush's Halliburton hope chest.

WASHINGTON -- Congress expects a new White House request for as much as $100 billion this year for war and related costs in Iraq and Afghanistan, congressional officials say.

It would be the third and largest Iraq-related request from the White House yet, and could push the cost of the Iraq war over $200 billion -- far above the initial White House estimates of $50 billion-$60 billion....

Members of Congress expect a big price tag for Iraq this year.

'I hope they ask for something big,'' said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee. ''Look, this is a test of wills. We need to show our enemies that we are not going to do this on the cheap."

1. And apparently
we also need to show our enemies that we are too inefficient to plan ahead, so we don't spend all this damn money. Oh yeah, thats right, it doesn't matter how well they plan it, because its all going to Halliburton and Unical anyway...that's the image of strength that we wan't to show our enemies!

2. "We need to show our enemies "
Oh yeah, that will impress the hell out of those shoeless "insurgents"
that just happen to be kicking the marines asses out of Iraq.

A rather shallow stupid childish remark for a senator. These redneck cracker bastards will drive this country right down into hell.

6. We could just hold a big money bonfire
We could incinerate billions and billions of paper dollars on pay-per-view and win the War On Terror with an awesome display of our fiscal bad-assedness.

17. Sounds like Lindsey Graham is the enemy.
Scuttling the national interest and draining the nation of resources for bizarre personal issues.

3. The war's price tag is considerably large, considering that the enemy

7. Onesies and twosies without their shoesies, bobbing and weaving
always believing,
that the war was a sham, launched by a ham,
without a good plan, makes me ill man,
to think what we, for the world to see,
could have done right, without all the might,
not for the oil, not on their soil,
but for the right reason, without all the treason,
we have now spawned a mad mad season.
