Bush donates $10,000....Sandra Bullock 1 MILLION to tsunami victims
Those damn Hollywood libruls, out of touch with mainstream America...

COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (Reuters) - President Bush, who called on Americans this week to make a donation to help victims of the Asian tsunami, has contributed $10,000 himself, the White House said on Wednesday.

Bush, whose wealth is estimated at some $13 million, on Monday asked "every American to contribute as they are able to do so."

The president was criticized for his initial reaction to the catastrophe when he pledged $15 million from the United States, with some critics pointing out that this was less than half what will be spent on Bush's inauguration. The pledge has since risen to $350 million.

1. Bullock earned her money. Shrubby has to wait until Daddy dies
Yes, I know Shrub could have afforded to give more. But why pass up the chance for a dig? :)

3. Yup. Shrubby had a couple of business opportunities...
But has never built much of a personal fortune. I believe there are more important things--but I don't think he & his followers do.

4. all of bush*'s business opportunities tanked. He has been bailed out

several times from friends of his fathers, including the saudis, specifically the bin ladin family.

Ah, you might note that he was the owner of the Texas Rangers and that was successful. No, he was never the owner. He owned at most 5%, if that. Once again, friends, sycophants and courtiers of his father let him be the front man and rewarded him with about 12 million more than his investment entitled him to (the investment came from illegally selling stock at inflated prices before his company tanked). This was after they "maneuvered" the good citizens of Arlington, Texas to build them a baseball stadium at a bare bones price. A great deal of the land for that little venture was stolen from privates citizens. That's right, stolen. The first time in Texas history, and maybe even American history, that a PRIVATE COMPANY made up of PRIVATE CITIZENS was allowed to condemn and cheaply acquire OTHER PRIVATE CITIZEN'S private property. check it out. it's a scream.

Oh, and just to end our little story, bush* goes on to be elected governor in one of the dirtiest little campaigns in texas. I guess that extra moola he got from being the "owner" of the Rangers came in handy. One of his first official acts was allowing his money friends from the Rangers a shot at managing the huge University of Texas endowment fund. Ka-ching!

6. Why not just by them a car
For ten grand you could get a used Chevy or maybe a Ford pickup or if he doubled his donation he could send them a used SUV.

This gesture of $10,000.00 is an insult to the world. If I had 13 million dollars 3 million would not even seem to be enough.

What a complete putz.

7. Nah, they won't even get a used car...
I imagine the money will be spent by some "faith-based" crusade to send a fat guy and his luggage to Indonesia to pray for the poor heathens "first-hand" from the balcony of some posh hotel in Bangkok.
