So let's say they pass tort and liability reform.... |
|
And the costs of medical coverage and insurance continues to rise.
What will be the NEXT reason for the high costs of health care?

2. The costs of medical coverage and insurance WILL continue to rise. |
|
In states that have adopted similar reforms, the costs still rose.
I guess they'll have to just repeat that "tax" mantra,...and assert that "taxes" are making those costs higher.
Hell, they can get pretty creative with the blame-staking game, though.

3. Ya, remember when "managed care" was supposed to control costs. |
|
What a sham that turned out to be. The costs spiral even higher but you have to go through a gatekeeper to get care.

4. Funny you should mention that |
|
Back in 1975, California was the first state to put caps on non economic damages.
And yet, from 1975-1988 medical malpractice insurance premiums increased 450%.
Insurance reform was what finally stabilized premiums.

5. They'll make changes so the poor can't show up to emergency rooms... |
|
and get care. Healthcare will be reserved for the haves and the have mores.
