Some "Kooky" D.U. Threads That The N.Y. Times Will NEVER Mention:
Edited on Wed Jan-05-05 06:41 PM by David Zephyr
How laughable it is that the NY Times ignored the DU altogether when most of us here were seriously posting --- long before the Iraqi War began --- that there were no Weapons of Mass Destruction to be found in Iraq. Were those threads kooky?

Curiously and, of course, conveniently, the NY Times seems to ignore the indisputable fact that the DemocraticUnderground.Com was one of the only major websites and sources for news and information within the United States where great skepticism and doubt was expressed over and over again (by myself among many others) about the Bush Administration's false claim that there were "weapons of mass destruction" in Iraq.

During the same time, however, the New York Times printed one KOOKY article after another KOOKY article intentionally to whip up Americans into a frenzy of fear over "weapons of mass destruction".

Talk about kooky writings! Talk about screwballs!

America went to war based on kooky articles written and published by the New York Times! The New York Times and their kooky articles made fools out of the American people. Our soldiers spent months in harm's way "searching" for weapons of mass destruction that the New York Times said existed even though there was NEVER any evidence that it did.

Decades from now, when the history of the failed Iraqi War is written and when the hundreds of thousands of dead are counted, the New York Times will appropriately have their role noted as the best propagandists for George Bush's War that Karl Rove had.

1. Wow! That is pretty
"kooky" considering we're a wide open forum and they're supposed to be credible journalists! Jeebus, what a bunch of asshats!

4. Yeah.
Of course, publishing the need to make war and causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people by that war is just a little editorial blunder.

2. And they have editors who are supposed to check that stuff.
(I like to have people bring up wacky ideas - sometimes they turn out to be true.)

10. I'd like to add something
In the beginning, places like DU were called "conspiracy nuts" but as time went on so much of what we reseached and revealed became to be. AND, highly paid asses who are suppose to be "political analysts" began to issue pronouncements that we had made ions before as if they had discovered these things all by themselves. In other words, so much of what we had discussed ended up being true and basis of inquiries, commissions, etc. Indeed, they think of journalism as just parroting the administration lies and coverups instead of doing any real investigating. It's places like DU that did the work for them and then they took the credit!! Lazy, useless bastards........

13. Of course they won't mention anything significant. The FACT that they are
paying attention means we are a threat to their fascist regime.
